thinking.

Today, I was listening to Meghan Tonjes' cover of Take a Bow by Rihanna which was my "Uncle's" favorite song right before he died.

He died April 3, 2009. He has been one of the hardest people for me to lose and he wasn't even technically family. He was my Mom's best friend and he had been there for us through everything.

I was just thinking about it this morning and he should have been here to see me get married. He should have been here to see his kids turn another year older too. Sometimes, life is so unfair.

Just thought I'd blog about this because I was thinking about it and wanted/needed to just write it down.

updateee.

Okay, I haven't bought any new make-up or nail polish aside from some random China Glaze color which I put on my nails and took off immediately. It's not that it wasn't a good color, it just looked weird on my hands.

I did order the Konad stamping system from wowsocool.com. We'll see how that goes, I am so very eager to try it. It sounds like super fun! I'll let you guys know how that goes. I do believe it'll be here today because it said that it was in OKC this morning.

Yesterday, we took a drive up to another AFB in Oklahoma. Vance AFB was quite different than Tinker, which is where we are now. What's really cool about Vance is the fact that there are fighter jets taking off every few minutes & students training in propeller planes. It's fun to watch them take off.

Brandon and I randomly drive around like this. We're going to see all that Oklahoma has to offer in the four [possibly more] years that we're here. It's exciting to go see all of the bases that you can because... they're all different.

I work soon, I just wanted to give you all a little update!

MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation

One word: LOVE.

I have dry skin, always. It doesn't matter what season or how much moisturizer I apply, my skin is almost always dry. This foundation is just amazing. It feels like I have moisturizer on as opposed to foundation. It's very light but it has medium to full coverage if you build it.

It came out yesterday, 2/18/2010, and it retails for $32. Not bad considering it's really a great foundation.

I'm NC20 however when I set my foundation with powder I used MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Plus. I find that it really gives my face a nice glow, not leaving it too pale and boring. I also use a 'glow' powder by an independent make-up company.

I would post pictures of my skin and such, but my camera is dead. You'll just have to take my word that this foundation is worth every penny.

Lush Review: Oatifix

Okay. I bought this while my husband and I were in Dallas this past weekend for Valentine's Day. We don't have a Lush in Oklahoma, so everytime we go out of state, I make sure and get my Lush fix. I saw the face masks and said.. "Which one is for dry skin?" The helpful girl at the store picked this one up and I smelled it.

It smells like heaven. No joke. Like, if I had to imagine a smell for heaven, this face mask would be it. It's oatmeal-banana-vanilla-sex. The texture is a little chunky but otherwise it feels wonderful to my hands.

I let it sit out for about ten minutes before I applied it to my face. At first, no issues at all. Smoothed it all over, felt very nice. Then the burning started.

So, I'm sitting here thinking, 'It's just warming up, doing it's job.'

I was so mistaken.

Not only did it literally start to burn but when I took it off my face looked horrid. I didn't take pictures at the time because I was so mortified but it was almost bumpy but the bumps were too large to be considered bumps and my face was blood red.

What happened, I assume, was I had an allergic reaction to something in the mask. Which sucks because I was really hoping for it to be my miracle mask. For everyone that reads this, try a little patch test on your arm before you cover your face in it.

Hope this helps! :D

now, a blog about interesting things.

Day before yesterday was Valentine's Day. It was really good, great even. We spent Friday night in Dallas, TX and did a bit of shopping because I'm addicted to shopping, of course. Then we came home late Saturday, spent all of Sunday together, and went out to dinner.

I went and built a bear or a monkey because Brandon, my husband, loves monkeys, at the Build-a-Bear store. I also got him an itunes giftcard and some chocolate covered pretzels.

He got me a new purse, which is.. kind-of cute. I can't say it's my favorite but I like it and it was sweet of him to pick it out. He also got me perfume that I had wanted since before Christmas. Siren by Paris Hilton-- it smells soooooo good to me. OH! And the best part, he got me an "Air Force Wife" thing for my tag on my car. I wanted that so bad because I'm proud of being an Air Force wife.

So, while I was Valentine's Day shopping, I went to my local MAC counter and bought Lala from their latest collection-- can't remember the name of the collection though. I actually ended up having to take it back because it broke me out. ]: It was such a pretty color, too.

I also got the Kat Von D liquid liner. Didn't like it, returned it as well. It just didn't really work for me.

THEN, while we were in Dallas, I bought a few other things. There's a MAC Pro store in Dallas so I got Fig 1 for my pro palette & I got 3D Silver glitter.

I bought some stuff at Lush too. I'm going to do a blog review on the Oatifix face mask because.. there are some things that need to be said.

Time for lunch! Follow me over there ---> so you can read my Lush Oatifix face mask review. It'll be worth reading, rest assured.

the typical get to know me blog.

I'm going to list random facts about me. The things that make me tick. I'm excluding all things politics because that's a dangerous subject.

-My name is Natasha.
-I'm nineteen years old.
-I'm starting cosmetology school in April
-My husband is a United States Airman.
-I have an unhealthy obsession with make-up.
-I work at Cato Fashions.

Okay. I think that's really all you need to know. Those are the only 'facts' I can give you, really. Keep reading my blog and I'm sure you'll come to find out more about me. I'll rant and ramble about my life, about make-up, and about all the things that I love-- just like it says up there ^^^^. :D
